The former president's Family Member Receives Expert Tips from Tiger Woods Prior to LPGA Debut

Young golfer getting ready for significant competition

This young athlete maintains considerable social media presence

Kai Trump can count on plenty of well-known cheerleaders when she starts her first LPGA appearance on Thursday.

The 18-year-old athlete, who is the granddaughter of a former US president, obtained a special exemption to play at the Annika tournament in Florida.

Her grandfather, someone who loves golf, owns multiple golf courses and frequently matches against Kai.

"He's quite skilled. I shouldn't elaborate but we play tight competitions," she revealed.

Kai explained that Trump, who cannot attend, advised her: "Simply stay calm."

"He basically suggested to go out there and relax," she added.

"To me, he's simply a regular grandfather. He won't be there for the tournament. He's busy with world affairs, making him somewhat preoccupied."

While still amateur, the golfer has competed in only three events recently and has ranking 461 in AJGA standings.

Yet she's able to get advice from 15-time major champion, who is dating Kai's mother.

"He is the top athlete globally," Kai expressed.

"Additionally, he's an even better human being. He advised me to play, have fun, and go with the flow."

The golfer will compete against some of most prominent players in the sport at the competition, featuring world number two Nelly Korda, England's Charley Hull, professional Thompson and 2023 champion Lilia Vu.

The LPGA stated that her participation helps introduce golf to different demographics, particularly with youth audiences.

The young star maintains a massive following and has started a personal fashion and living label.

Her first tee time at late afternoon GMT.
