FC Barcelona Ready for First Match at Partially Completed Camp Nou over the weekend

The club confirmed they are set to host at the renovated but unfinished Camp Nou on Saturday. Athletic Bilbao will visit Athletic Bilbao in the Spanish league over two years after they moved out to allow renovations to start.

“We envisioned this comeback. The moment has arrived. Home again at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Attendance will be limited but 45,401 spectators can be present based on approved permits. Once fully finished, the Camp Nou is due to hold over 104,000 attendees, up from the previous 99,000. Officials confirmed finished work included an updated entryway for the team and new dressing rooms.

Preparatory Events

The club conducted an open training session on the home pitch on 7 November. They mentioned they are seeking authorization from European football’s governing body to play their next home Champions League game facing Eintracht on 9 December in the renovated venue. They have been hosting matches at the Olympic Stadium.
